Player and Team registrations are UP for the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
Preliminary counts show 18 Freshman, 10 JV and 12 Varsity teams. Several clubs have multiple Freshman teams and once again, we have a club with two Varsity teams.
Was it Northport/Huntington and Smithtown/Hauppauge recent trips to the National Tournaments?
Was it the local NHL teams making the Stanley Cup Playoffs?
We don’t know but let’s continue the trend. If you know a hockey player not playing for his/her school, get them to contact their school club; there may still be roster positions open. No school club? Enter the draft (see Draft link on the menu bar) and get skating.
